Hey, hi, hello would be my usual greeting to you dear reader, but in highlight of the holy month, Ramadan Kareem would be more adequate! Yes, it’s quite alarming how we’ve crossed the first week of the holy month, and we all know the direction, and what follows after the next 15 coming days.
With only a little over a week left of Ramadan, everyone’s getting ready for Eid. Be it through endless bag carrying due to shopping, phone calls to book a place at a specific parlor, the intense workouts happening at the gym just to lose those extra KG’s, or even the preparations for the family gatherings – which is most probably my favorite.
Is it just me, or is time relatively passing by within a speed that I cannot comprehend? It’s either that, or I’m blissfully engulfed by the various Ramadan occurrences – occurrences that feel distinctive by the day.
1 month, 4 weeks, and 30 days, spent on re-sparking that religious flame, or adding the wooden blocks to it. It’s spent on time with the family, spent on the endless KG’s of fat you’ll gain from all the over eating, spent on the intimate, memorable moments you’ll make, spent on the ever so tranquil vibes – It’s the holy month of Ramadan.
It’s 30 days worth of prayers, spiritual intact, and the inevitable late night drives from wherever you are; not to mention the Ghabgas, and family oriented futoors – It’s the holy month of Ramadan.
