Here’s your first look at what the chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci, has been working on for Burberry’s Resort 2019 collection. A couple of days ago, Tisci posted several photographs on Instagram and said “I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage, and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry.“
Alongside the posts was a hashtag #bclassic – which from the barn jackets, ponchos, plaid kilts, quilted coats, and car coats indicates the classic, and traditional values of British fashion, present within the heritage brand, Burberry. The collection wasn’t designed by Tisci, but it was the in-house Burberry team who did. Tisci curated the pieces and illustrated the visual aspect into the images you see below.
Tisci’s debut for the house of Burberry is set to happen on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 5 PM during London Fashion Week.
